The Distillery x S+arck = Awesome

Spectacle has been in love with S+arck Eyes, the collaborative effort between Alain Mikli and Philippe Starck since its inception.

In fact we may have blogged about this love one or two times.

Really, who could blame us though, with their well documented bio hinge and sleek design this collection is a favourite of both our stylists and clients.

Our Distillery District boutique just got a refresh of some models from Mr S+arck so if you are in the area stop by and check them out. Don't worry if you are closer to our Yonge or Queen St stores they have 'em too because Spectacle Loves You

Queen St Loves Lindberg Sun

Eric and Kira two of the stylish stylists at our 752 Queen St W flagship took a few minutes out of their uber busy day to model the Lindberg sun collection for you.

Made up of the same durable titanium and super light weight acetates as the regular Lindberg collection but with amazing Zeiss sun lenses these shades are as awesome in their construction as their appearance.

The Lindberg Sun collection is available at Spectacle Queen St and the regular Lindbergs are available at all three of our locations because Spectacle Loves You

The Distillery Loves Gucci

Still the number one selling sunglass brand in the world today, we thought we would take a minute to show some love to our favorite Gucci models currently on the shelves of Spectacle

Like they say in the song, "Its Gucci Time!!"

Gucci 3155/S The details on this beauty are exquisite, a raised metalic bridge follows the elegant lines of the acetate, in a wonderful up-sweep. Total Glam.

Gucci 1622/S A modern classic and part of the Gucci Eyeweb sub collection that they launched last season. These over-sized sunnies are as fun as they are stylish.

Gucci 3119/S
This shape looks fab on almost everyone, the subtle Gucci logo and playful color schemes (hidden pinks and background blues accent certain models) make it a go to for serious collectors as well as someone looking for an "everyday piece"

This season our Gucci collection is on display at our Distillery District boutique, conveniently located in building 53 at 55 Mill St because Spectacle Loves You

Jazzy Kim the sales manager for Oliver Peoples' fashion accounts takes a few minutes out from her busy life to explain her hustle and what it means to go the extra mile for something you want.

Behind The Hustle - Jazzy Kim of Oliver Peoples from Behind The Hustle on Vimeo.

A pretty cool video that helps prove if you love what you do it will come through time and time again, a philosophy everyone at Spectacle stands behind which is why we are always reminding our clients, Spectacle Loves You.

Drake in Dita

Drizzy is about to drop his new album so of course he has to come out with a new fresh to death video to get us all hyped up.

Check the video for Headlines below (careful if you are a youngin' because they have not released the edited version of this yet so there may be some cussing in the song)

While you are peeping some of the fancy things all over the vid (jumbotron and Cosby sweater what!) take a second to concentrate on the Dita Senators w a custom fashion tint being rocked through out, they are pretty awesome.

The Dita collection is available at all 3 Spectacle locations and we highly encourage you to come up with your own colors for a fashion tint just like Drake did

Maui Jim's Got You Covered this Fall!

Fall is upon us and in addition to the lovely foliage and crisp autumn air, we have to contend with driving and cycling in the face of an earlier setting sun, making our commutes home from work and school a bit, well, glaring!

But fear not, friends, Spectacle has got a secret weapon in store for you at our Yonge Street and Distillery District locations: the latest and greatest shades from Maui Jim!

The new Maui-Flex frames are the latest addition, featuring metal-memory that spring back into shape!

The All new Freight Train, available in blue, gunmetal, and copper.

The Coconuts also features the new memory metal of Maui-Flex.

An extra-tough frame design combines the multi-layer Polarized lens technology into a versatile and robust shield against UV rays and the ever-earlier setting sun.

Also available are Maui Jim Readers, a selection of sport frames with the addition of a magnified area near the bottom of the lens. These handy multi-focals come in a variety of reading powers depending on your needs.

The Ho'okipa comes in either green, brown, or grey lens colours and a range of reading powers.

Likewise, the Makaha offers the same options in a smaller, more feminine sport frame.

All these frames and many more are in stock and waiting to help you guard against glare and harmful UV rays - Remember, it may be getting cooler out, but the sun never takes a holiday!

And for more info on Maui Jim's polarized lenses, check out our post here.

Kilsgaard Taking Flight at Spectacle

Back in February
we were pleased to introduce a new member of the Spectacle family, Kilsgaard. This collection is the brain child of Jacob Kilsgaard who designed his collection with the intent to be something special within the industry.

Made of solid aluminum and winner of the prestigious Red Dot design award (we'd say that means Jacob met his goal) the first batch of these frames was met with great enthusiasm at our flagship boutique.

Now we have another round of these beautiful Danish frames in the shop and are expecting the same response as before.

So hurry down to 752 West Queen West and get your hands on some Kilsgaard before it is too late
