Dan Levy with Spectacle Founder Jag Dhillon

"I feel overwhelmed" Dan said.  "It's been only a few months since we've launched and to be here collaborating with Spectacle is such a thrill - the fact that they have embraced the line with such open arms means so much and I'm speechless, it's been great.  Spectacle took some of my frames and really gave them life with new polarized lenses and I think it turned out amazing!".  For press updates from the event, follow our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

ic! berlin Nominated for Silmo d'Or in Technological Innovation Category

Silmo, the largest eyewear show in the world, is happening this week in Paris and ic! berlin has been nominated for the prestigious Silmo d'Or award in Technological Innovation for their upcoming electric! collection.

The ic! berlin electric collection

The technology behind the colours is called "PVD coating" and is a new way of adding pops of colour to stainless steel - an outcome previously impossible to achieve.  According to ic! berlin, "for the first time, through the PVD coating, we have managed to get our stainless steel to sparkle in fantastic new colours... using the procedure, we didn't apply colour directly to the metal, but we deposited an extra thin layer of crystals that reflects certain light wave-lengths - just like a rainbow".

Congratulations to ic! berlin for the nomination and good luck in the awards category!
